Attention East students: Counselors are now accepting appointments to discuss second semester schedule changes.

College and Career Night--Reserve the date for January 6th, 6:30 p.m., @ East Main Campus:
This is an opportunity for our parents and students, grades 9-12, to hear about the college application process, what is available to them in their search to narrow in on college and career choices and a chance to have help interpreting their PSAT and PLAN test results.  Guests from local universities, financial planning companies, Butler Tech and test prep companies will be available for parents and students to gain information.

Financial Aid Night--January 6th, 7-8:30 p.m., @ East Main Campus: A financial aid professional will present an overview of the financial aid process. She will specifically highlight the all important Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA). This event will be Tuesday, January 6 from 7-8:30 p.m.at Lakota East auditorium The presentation will be most helpful to senior parents (students do not need to attend). However, parents and students of all grade levels are welcome.

Congratulations to the following sophomores for being selected as the 2009 recipients of the J. Kyle Braid Leadership Award: John Brady, Zachary Kloenne, Abbey Cramer, Kathryn Haynes. Alternates: Michael Willis and Katelyn Parisi.

Time to Order 2008-09 Yearbooks:  Lakota East 2008-2009 Yearbook Order forms will be mailed home the week of 12/22/08. Look for mail from Jostens Publishing.

  • Our Main and Freshman Yearbook Staffs have been working together to create the first ever, 9-12 Lakota East PARAGON.
  • Because we have so many ninth graders involved in JV and Varsity athletics, Marching Band, theater productions, clubs and activities, this approach allows all our students to capture all their memories from the 2008-09 school year.
  • Of course the student staff at both campuses are working hard to make sure every activity, grades 9-12, get covered and included in what will be a tremendous collection of the best of 08-09!
